The name Greengate stands for Scandinavian design and joie de vivre. The manufacturer from Copenhagen produces high quality tableware, living and kitchen accessories and beautiful things for the home.
The Greengate design has a very special story. Company founder Jesper B. Christensen found a remarkable collection of books in a dusty attic in a house on Lake Como in the late 1980s. It included floral motifs by the artist Pierre Boussac, who developed designs for the Parisian fashion house Dior from 1880 to 1920. Christensen bought the collection and has since owned an ancient treasure. In 1991 he founded the Greengate company with his wife Mona B. Christensen, and the motifs from the book collection still form the basis for every collection. So wonderfully shabby and yet elegant and stylish. The motifs can be wonderfully combined with each other, so that you can create your own home decor.
